Character/Series: Kudou Taiki, Digimon Xros Wars

Character Type: Main Character

Tamer Class: Xros

Character appearance:

Character age: 15, after Hunters

Xros Army: Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, Starmons, Beelzebumon

Xros Ups:
X2 Xros Up

(Note: Most of these forms are canon, but a number of them are also non-canon to fill out things such as Super Evolution Xros Ups, or the lower X2 Xros Up with Beelzebumon.)

Shoutmon + Ballistamon = Shoutmon X2
Ballistamon's torso flipping around forward, he becomes effectively a suit of armor for Shoutmon, as only his head crest and eyes are present in this form. Shoutmon X2 is built like a tank and preforms as such, able to smash through enemy lines with the sheer physical force of his ”Horn Breaker DX” attack. His arsenal of techniques include Arm Bunker, a technique striking with his powerful arms, Optic Laser a blast from Shoutmon's visor, Miya Vulcan a blast of low powered gunfire, and his ultimate technique, Buddy Blaster, which combines the force of Shoutmon and Ballistamon's friendship into pure energy which is fired from the horn on his chest.

Shoutmon + Dorulumon = Shoutmon + Dorulu Cannon
Dorulumon's body splits in half, becoming a stationary but powerful two barreled cannon which Shoutmon mans. They have only one attack, Dorulu Cannon, which fires blasts of intense energy in the shape of Dorulumon's head.

Shoutmon + Starmons = Shoutmon + Star Sword
Starmon and the Pickmons that surround him combine into a sword which Shoutmon wields. They have two attacks: Star Blade, which allows Shoutmon to slash and launch a burning blade of power, and Full Star Blade which is a powered melee slash with the sword.

Shoutmon + Beelzebumon = Shoutmon XB
Shoutmon gains Beelzebumon's wings, various bits of his body armor, and his weapon, the Berenjena SDX. In spite of the weapon's massive size compared to his body, Shoutmon's incredible strength is able to wield it effortlessly. He gains the power of flight and is more heavily armored, able to withstand more damage than as Shoutmon. Darkness Rocker has Shoutmon wielding his mic physically with the powers of fire and darkness burning along its length. His ultimate attack, Rock the Cannon unleashes a massive attack of burning, music note-shaped energy from Berenjena SDX.

X3-5 Xros Up

Shoutmon X2 + Dorulumon = Shoutmon X3
Dorulumon becomes legs for this form, with Ballistamon and his heads creating shoulder armor as a new head for Shoutmon forms with a massive “V” crest adorning his chest. Shoutmon X3 is a highly maneuverable and agile Digimon, but still strong enough to take damage inflicted upon him. In addition to being able to fire the vulcans mounted on his helmet, he has multiple attacks. Three Impact is a powerful punch in which his arm glows with energy. With Victorize Boomerang, he removes the V crest, charging it with energy before lobbing it at his enemies. High Atmospheric Pressure channels an intense level of energy before him that he can punch forth. Three Victorize his his strongest attack, unleashing a massive wave of energy from the V crest when its attached to his chest.

Shoutmon X3 + Starmons = Shoutmon X4
The Starmons form a mighty blade blazing with red energy, forming Shoutmon X4. X4 maintains all of X3's mobility, durability, and attacks, although Three Victorize can be upgraded to the more powerful Three Victorize Max Power. He gains Burning Star Crusher which generates a large amount of power into his sword, which sends a V-shaped blast rocketing forward with a huge wave of energy.

Shoutmon X2 + Beelzebumon = Shoutmon X2B
This form is much like Shoutmon X3, with Beelzebumon replacing Dorulumon from the waist down and becoming Shoutmon's legs. Berenjena SDX covers X2B's right hand, while Beelzebumon's head replaces Dorulumon's on Shoutmon's shoulder. Shoutmon forms a head much like X3's, including his head vulcans. Beelzebumon's upper torso and wings transform into a backpack, granting him the power of flight. The gatling gun that is Beelzebumon's right hand can now flip out over Shoutmon's shoulder to be utilized, and he can also wield Beelzebumon's handgun still holstered on his left leg. X2B is a fast and agile form that is capable of flight and excels at fighting opponents at a distance, and is ideal for hit and run tactics. Each gun can be unloaded on its own, or all at once for Triple Impact. He can channel the power of his three components into one shot with Berenjena SDX called Victorize the Cannon. X2B's ultimate attack is charging all three guns to maximum power, as well as the V-Crest on his chest, launching blasts from them all in a large burst called Victorious Chaos Buster.

Shoutmon X4 + Beelzebumon = Shoutmon X4B
Beelzebumon becomes a new set of front legs for Shoutmon, while Dorulumon is shifted to back legs, giving him a centaur-like appearance, with a massive cannon at his gut and guns mounted on his hips. In addition to the power of flight, Shoutmon X4B has an incredible level of speed. He can still preform Three Victorize and Burning Star Crusher. He gains Star's Blade Celestrike, a charging attack where he unleashes gunfire and then cleaves his enemy in two, and Chaos Flare a surging charged blast from Berenjena SDX.

Super Evolution Xros Ups

Super Evolved Form: OmegaShoutmon
As a note: OmegaShoutmon is in effect sort of like the advent of Omegamon, or his successor, in a way. He is however considerably less powerful than an Omegamon would ever be. So even though his strongest attack, “Omega the Fusion” summons an aura in the shape of Omegamon, it's just an image. His power is that of a standard Ultimate Level Digimon.

OmegaShoutmon + Ballistamon = OmegaShoutmon X2
This form much resembles Shoutmon X2, but is much larger, Ballistamon's size tripling in order to match the size of OmegaShoutmon. OmegaShoutmon X2 lacks OmegaShoutmon's agility, but makes up for it in defense. Horn Breaker Omega is a charging attack in which OmegaShoutmon X2 is enveloped in an aura resembling Omegamon. Best Buddy Blaster is his ultimate attack, unleashing a devastating, fiery blast from Ballistamon's horn that also comes accompanied by a large shockwave of sound in its wake.

OmegaShoutmon + Dorulumon = OmegaShoutmon + Dorulu Cannon
This has the same effect as his previous X2 Xros with Dorulumon, only the attack is amped up to Ultimate Level, with the expected effects. He also gains Garuru the Fusion an attack that fuses the freezing power of MetalGarurumon into the cannon, which fires freezing blasts shaped like that Digimon. (OmegaShoutmon + Dorulu Cannon is the only canon SE Xros Up seen in the series for OmegaShoutmon. However, its brief, and has only one attack. Garuru the Fusion is a fan-made attempt to give him more than a single attack, and also keep in spirit with OmegaShoutmon meaning to invoke the power of Omegamon. If it doesn't work, it can be removed.)

OmegaShoutmon + Starmons = OmegaShoutmon + Star Sword
OmegaShoutmon wields the Star Sword. The blade's strength is increased to that of Ultimate. His attacks are Star Victorize, infusing the Star Sword with power surging off his V-crest, which is then slashed down towards his enemies, much resembling Shoutmon X4's Burning Star Crusher. He maintains Heavy Metal Vulcan, and gains Grey the Fusion, an attack fusing the Star Sword with the fiery power of WarGreymon, with a burning slash that increases the size of the sword considerably.

OmegaShoutmon + Beelzebumon = OmegaShoutmon XB
Gains Beelzebumon's wings, Berenjena SDX, and parts of Beelzebumon's armor fuse with his own. Beelzebumon's command of the sky gives him much higher agility in the air. His attacks are Heavy Metal Impact a ferociously punishing double blast from his vulcans, now infused with the power of darkness. Beat Darkness is a spinning attack with the blades on his legs, dark power burning around him. Omega the Cannon, meanwhile, infuses the powers of ice and fire into a large elemental attack from Berenjena SDX, firing them in two successive blasts shaped like the heads of MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon.

Character history:
-Part 1: Digimon Xros Wars-

Kudou Taiki grew up in Japan and led a fairly ordinary life, if one that showed a lot of promise and exceptional skill on his end. One night, he had a strange dream in which he was on the forefront of a battlefield, commanding an army of Digimon. He wakes thinking it all a dream, but that day when with his childhood friend Hinomoto Akari and a would-be rival named Tsurugi Zenjirou, the world around them begins to go into flux as an alternate reality known as the Digital World begins to bleed into their own. At this time, Taiki hears a voice and finds the essence of an injured Digimon in an alley. He's also confronted by a mysterious voice who gives him a device called a “Xros Loader...”

Just like that, Taiki, Akari, and Zenjirou are sucked into the Digital World. There, they almost immediately encounter MadLeomon, the leader of a battalion of the Bagra Army, a dark force that has set out to conquer the Digital World. Taiki & Co. are saved by the timely arrival of Ballistamon and the Starmons, friends of the Digimon that Taiki saved. After “re-loading” the Digimon he saved, he discovers his name to be Shoutmon, a young Digimon who yearns to smash the Bagra Army and become the Digimon King. Shoutmon and his friends are able to dismiss MadLeomon's forces, and through the power of Taiki's Xros Loader, is able to tap into the legendary power of “Digi-Xros” to combine with both Ballistamon and the Starmons separately to beat back MadLeomon.

Taiki and the others go to Shoutmon's home town in this “Green Zone,” the Village of Smiles. After fighting off another Bagra Army raid, Taiki leaves to try and get Zenjirou and Akari home, not initially thinking much of Shoutmon's desire to be King. When they are attacked by MadLeomon fused with an Orochimon, however, and Shoutmon & Ballistamon save them, Taiki realizes Shoutmon's wish to be King is a means of protecting his home and the entire world at large. Digi-Xrosing both Digimon into Shoutmon X2, they beat MadLeomon again. MadLeomon wasn't done there, though – he attacks the Village of Smiles yet again. Another Digimon General named Aonuma Kiriha appears, showing an abrasive attitude and an uncaring nature towards his Golemon. MadLeomon is thwarted with the help of a new arrival – a loner named Dorulumon. Shoutmon X2 and Dorulumon Xros into Shoutmon X3 and destroy MadLeomon. Dorulumon, with his companion Cutemon, and Kiriha both take their leave, however.

Upon being destroyed, a “Code Crown” is released from MadLeomon. A mysterious girl named Amano Nene appears and explains that this is the sign of someone who has taken control of a Zone. Taiki and his companions, now known as the red army “Xros Heart” move on to the Island Zone. There they find an island under siege by a Bagra Army navy force, led by Neptunemon. There, they ally with a young Digimon named ChibiKamemon to push those forces back, and eventually discover the island is in actuality a giant Digimon known as King Whamon. Inside the Whamon, Taiki discovers the Code Crown, while ChibiKamemon in an underwater temple uncovers a chest containing items called Digi-Memories, which can summon the power of legendary Digimon to help them briefly.

Kiriha and Dorulumon both separately arrive to lend assistance, and this time Taiki Xroses Shoutmon, Ballistamon, the Starmons, and Dorulumon into Shoutmon X4. Together, they're able to defeat Neptunemon, and move on to the Magma Zone, a place currently under rule by a Bagra Army officer named AncientVolcamon who is enslaving Digimon to search for that Zone's Code Crown. Xros Heart encounters some of AncientVolcamon's forces, and again runs into Dorulumon and Cutemon. They learn Dorulumon is helping Cutemon search for his parents, and after discovering they may be held as AncientVolcamon's prisoners, search for them after dispatching SkullMeramon as Shoutmon X3.

However, AncientVolcamon arrives and they're imprisoned. Xros Heart is able to escape, though, and battles AncientVolcamon's forces again, with Shoutmon X4 seemingly defeating him. This ends up not being the case however, and a high ranking Bagra General named Tactimon confronts them. Tactimon makes short work of them, and explains that Dorulumon was once a Bagra Army soldier under him that ended up deserting his post. While Kiriha & his army, Blue Flare, arrive to keep Tactimon off them, Taiki shows he still trusts Dorulumon, and Dorulumon's old friend working under AncientVolcamon, BlueMeramon, sacrifices his life to assist them. AncientVolcamon absorbs all of his Meramon soldiers, but is eventually defeated by Xros Heart's combined efforts. Dorulumon & Cutemon join Xros Heart, and they go along their way.

When Xros Heart comes to the Lake Zone, ChibiKamemon and Taiki rescue a drowning Knightmon in the water. He is taken to the knight's castle, ruled over by the often sleeping Bastemon, as well as Kiriha who had already been there. Kiriha learns more about Taiki's motivations and why he can't ever “turn his back on someone” when the Bagra Army attacks the castle. Xros Heart begins to fend the attacking forces off, but Blue Flare intervenes and makes short work of everything while the red army is forced to fall back to the castle when it comes under attack by IceDevimon. They also encounter an assassin named Baalmon, who strikes out suddenly to try and take our heroes out. Kiriha is able to fend off Baalmon, while Shoutmon & Dorulumon beat back IceDevimon. Unfortunately, Taiki then collapses, having over exerted himself. Bagra General Lillithmon is later able to get into Akari's mind and have her steal the Code Crown from the castle, also unleashing the massively powerful DaiPenmon on the castle's forces, who freezes most of the battlefield. Luckily, Taiki awakens before Akari gives the Code Crown to Lillithmon, and the team is able to get through to her. A new Xros with Knightmon and his PawnChessmon entourage, X4Knight, is unlocked and they dispatch a DaiPenmon fused with IceDevimon.

In the Sand Zone, Xros Heart encounters a treasure hunter named Revolmon. He sends them on a quest underground, where they are chased by Bagra General Blastmon. They encounter a spirit named Pharohmon who tests them for his Code Crown, while Blastmon is battled by the combined efforts of Kiriha's Blue Flare and Nene's Team Twilight. After attaining the Code Crown though, they are attacked by Baalmon again. In the ensuing battle, Taiki and Baalmon are separated from Xros Heart and must call a truce to make it through the cavern they fell into. Taiki learns that Baalmon once followed Angemon and a group of Digimon that worshiped a “Goddess,” until the day Angemon turned on him and Baalmon was forced to kill him.

On the surface, Xros Heart has been turned against Taiki, under the mind control of EBEmon who is commanded by Lillithmon. Protecting Taiki, Baalmon discovers that EBEmon was controlling Angemon back then at Lillithmon's order, and thus Lillithmon is the reason his home was destroyed and those he cared about died, and that he was even forced to kill Angemon. Xros Heart is freed from EBEmon's control, and X4 destroys him. Baalmon is mortally wounded by Lillithmon and left for dead, however. To save him, Pharohmon uses the power of the Code Crown to raise his pyramid and give them access to an ancient book of the Digimon Goddess, which Taiki must use his Loader to download... and also means that he can't Digi-Xros, leaving Xros Heart to fend of Lillithmon's forces of Mugendramon and a bunch of Scorpiomon without their powered forms. Shoutmon is initially taken aback by this.

However, Shoutmon eventually comes through, and they all fight their hardest to defeat Mugendramon, but lose. Baalmon gets Taiki to help his friends instead of him, and Shoutmon X4Knight battles Mugendramon, but it still proves to be too powerful. Baalmon intervenes, seemingly at the cost of his life, but the power of the Goddess is regardless granted upon him, and he transforms into Beelzebumon. Shoutmon X4Knight and Beelzebumon are able to destroy Mugendramon finally, but not before Lillithmon flings Xros Heart off into another Zone in a fit of rage.

They land in Heaven Zone, which is a seemingly peaceful land where they meet Lucemon, who befriends the team. However, when Dondokomon is framed for knocking over a sculpture, they see Heaven Zone's true face as its leader SlashAngemon has most of Xros Heart tried and ready for execution relatively quickly – Beelzebumon intervenes, and Xroses with X4 to create Shoutmon X4B, who proves to be too fast and powerful for SlashAngemon to contend with. This gets Lucemon what he wished, and the citizens of Heaven Zone end up propping him up as their new leader. However, it was all a scheme so Lucemon could obtain the Zone's Code Crown for his master, Lillithmon, and he transforms into Lucemon Falldown Mode. Initially he proves too much for Xros Heart, and while Team Twilight – with Nene's DarkKnightmon revealing himself to them - arrives to steal the power of darkness now surging out of the Heaven Zone unchecked, X4B fights and defeats Lucemon FM. Lucemon isn't so quickly beaten though, and as he takes hold of Nene the power of darkness engulfs them both and he becomes Lucemon Satan Mode. To save Nene, her partner Sparrowmon joins forces with Xros Heart, and Taiki is able to Xros him with X4, creating Shoutmon X5, who is able to defeat Satan Mode.

Though Nene, Sparrowmon, and Team Twilight goes off on their own, Xros Heart enters the Forest Zone. When they arrive, they are almost immediately separated. As Taiki sends Dorulumon and Revolmon off to scout for missing members, they're confronted by the forces of Tactimon. Eventually they're able to reunite, and X4B is able to fend Tactimon off. However, he was the least of their concerns in this Zone – Team Twilight and Blue Flare joined forces, and were mercilessly assaulting a local Digimon named Stingmon for information on that zone's “Legendary Digimon.” As Xros Heart attempts to convince the other two armies what they're doing is wrong, the Legendary Digimon awakens and takes Stingmon into his realm. DarkKnightmon grabs Nene and pursues them. After some convincing from Taiki, Blue Flare and Xros Heart (with an assortment of members staying behind to defend against incoming Bagra forces) join forces to confront Team Twilight as they try to target the Legendary Digimon. A massive battle erupts between DarkKnightmon, Shoutmon X4, and MetalGreymon with DarkKnightmon able to effortlessly fend off the strongest warriors. Eventually, the Legendary Digimon, named Deckerdramon, awakens to a great love he claims Kiriha holds in his heart, and joins Blue Flare. Team Twilight retreats, with Kiriha chasing after them.

Moving to the Dust Zone, Xros Heart is befriended and subsequently betrayed by Pinnochimon who is also subsequently just about run over by the Bagra big bad there, GrandLocomon. X4 derails GrandLocomon, but they're then faced with a greater threat – Blue Flare under the control of greater part of Team Twilight's forces, now led completely by DarkKnightmon with Nene being held captive. Eventually, Taiki breaks Kiriha free of the spell, and with Sparrowmon's help rescues Nene. DarkKnightmon reveals the purpose of him collecting the powers of darkness in the form of the Darkness Loader, which he is able to use to initiate a Forced Digi-Xros with his subordinates. He is narrowly stopped by the combined forces of Xros Heart and Blue Flare.

With Nene, Sparrowmon, and their Monitormon now in tow, Xros Heart moves on to go to the Shinobi Zone, to find help for the girl as she is now distraught as her Xros Loader will no longer function. During travel between Zones, they're attacked by Lillithmon's Arkadimon, and while the others are stranded and under fierce attack by the beast, Taiki is separated from everyone. He meets a strange by knowledgeable Digimon known as Wisemon, who explains to him much about the Digital World and the Code Crowns. They are able to make their way back to Xros Heart, with Wisemon assisting Taiki in the battle. Shoutmon X5, with the assistance of the Darkdramon Digi-Memory, is able to beat the creature back.

Arriving in the Shinobi Zone, Xros Heart members bond with Nene and her partners, while they're tasked with making a Digimon named Karatenmon laugh to obtain the Code Crown. Afterward, they have to rescue a Princess from a warlord Mushamon, a task which Taiki gives to Zenjirou, some Monitormon, and Dorulumon. Eventually they pull through, with X5 defeating Mushamon and his men, while Nene regains the power of her Xros Loader, and officially joins the team.

In the Disc Zone, Xros Heart arrives to find the zone being torn apart by Blue Flare and Blastmon duking it out. In an attempt to stop the battle, Shoutmon, Greymon, and Mailbirdramon become separated from their armies after Shoutmon has an unexpected Xros Open as X4K. While Taiki and Kiriha argue about their methods, Shoutmon gets to know Greymon and Mailbirdramon better. Later when reunited, the battle resumes with X4K battling the Bagra Army's Valvemon. He begins to weaken again, but Greymon rushes to his aid without Kiriha's command, and together they're able to defeat the threat. Xros Heart transfers the citizens of the collapsing Disc Zone back to the Shinobi Zone, where Shoutmon must deal with his personal weaknesses showing through. Eventually they are forced to battle Blastmon head on, with X4B faltering. Shoutmon is however able to regain his resolve, and convinces Taiki to add Sparrowmon into the mix to create Shoutmon X5B. X5B makes short work of Blastmon, nearly destroying him – in fact, all that's left of Blastmon is his head, which DOES escape. However, Xros Heart is able to obtain ALL of the Code Crowns Blastmon had collected.

Drawn by the melody of a Digimon in distress, they head to the Sweets Zone where they meet Spadamon, and learn of the machinations of the Bagra officer Matadormon. After a cooking competition (...this ends as well as you'd think) they're forced into, Shoutmon X4 squares off against Matadormon's subordinate, WaruMonzaemon. WaruMonzaemon proves a bit too much for X4, and Taiki Xroses Spadamon with him to create X4S. X4S defeats WaruMonzaemon, but Xros Heart is then plunged into the depths below where they discover Digimon being transformed into the sludge like, mindless Raremon. Xros Heart comes under attack by a Breakdramon controlled by Matadormon, which also houses Cutemon's parents. Taiki and Spadamon are able to rescue Cutemon's parents, while X5 destroys both Matadormon AND Breakdramon with one mighty, burning punch.

In Sword Zone, Shoutmon X4 defeats a dark armored Grademon who is subsequently purified by the light of the Code Crown. Xros Heart and Blue Flare soon come to a confrontation with Tactimon, where he very nearly beats them. When it looks like victory might be within their grasp after Grademon sacrifices himself, Bagramon intervenes, steals their Code Crowns, and sends Taiki, Shoutmon, Akari, and Zenjirou back to the Human World.

In the Human World, only a few hours has passed since they last left. A voice calls out to Taiki, and it's the same one who gave him his Xros Loader in the first place. The next day, he tries to treat Akari and Zenjirou to something nice, but they quickly realize he's planning to head back to the Digital World. There's a vast commotion in the city, and while seeking its source they find a Digi-Memory in an alley, and discover the one who chose Taiki in the Digimon whose spirit inhabits that Memory – Omegamon. Finding the source of the commotion to be Tactimon realized into the Human World, Taiki and Shoutmon attempt to fight on their own, but without the rest of their army are soundly beaten. When Akari and Zenjirou are put at risk in order to try and save them, power surges from them and triggers something within Taiki's Loader and Shoutmon himself, allowing Shoutmon to Super Evolve into OmegaShoutmon. OmegaShoutmon is able to defeat Tactimon once and for all, the only thing left of the Bagra Officer being his sword which sinks into the river. Omegamon meanwhile only has enough power to send back Taiki and Shoutmon, and so he does.

-Part 2: Digimon Xros Wars: The Evil Death Generals and The Seven Kingdoms-

Arriving back in the Digital World, Taiki and Shoutmon discover its been completely recreated into multiple different “Kingdoms” each ruled by one of Bagra 'Admiral' DarkKnightmon's – who turns out to be Bagramon's younger brother – seven Death Generals. The first of which is the ruler of Dragon Land, Dorbickmon. There, dragon Digimon under his rule act as a military police bullying and subjugating any other Digimon there. Lilymon, from the Village of Smiles and Shoutmon's childhood friend, finds them as soon as they arrive and before they witness a young Dracomon on the run from Dorbickmon's forces. Kiriha and Blue Flare arrive, paying Taiki little to no mind as they gun for Dorbickmon who, with his subordinate Huanlongmon, beats them soundly. Dracomon and Xros Heart are able to save Blue Flare, and after seeing Dracomon's determination Shoutmon is able to tap into the power of Super Evolution again and lay waste to Dorbickmon's forces. Dorbickmon HIMSELF proves too much, however, and they are forced to pull back when Nene and Sparrowmon arrive to save them. Dorbickmon then intends to execute the remaining members of Xros Heart he's been holding captive all this time, in order to lure Taiki out. Taiki and Nene devise a plan to free their teammates, which is pulled off to a nearly flawless degree until Dorbickmon Digi-Xroses his entire army into himself and pursues. X5B proves no match for a Death General, but Blue Flare arrives again to stop him, and this time Kiriha's pride is able to push MetalGreymon past his limits, as he Super Evolves into ZekeGreymon and destroys Dorbickmon.

With Xros Heart and Blue Flare now both in control of Dragon Land, they move into the next country – Vampire Land, under the rule of NeoVamdemon of The Moon. There they discover that NeoVamdemon's forces are nearly immortal, and have been capturing Lopmon as soon as they're evolved from Chocomon and using them for some vile purpose. After befriending a Lopmon to find this out, they infiltrate NeoVamdemon's stronghold, where they do battle with him. However, Kiriha's stubborn nature gets in their way, and NeoVamdemon ends up Digi-Xrosing MetalGreymon into his being. The armies retreat, following a legend of a “White Lopmon” that has a holy power which NeoVamdemon fears, while also discovering he's been made immortal by Digi-Xrossing countless Lopmon into his body. Finding that the White Lopmon seems to be merely a myth, but knowing he knows how a body works under Digi-Xros better than anyone else, Shoutmon takes the gamble to let NeoVamdemon Digi-Xros him. However, Lopmon follows. Within NeoVamdemon, Shoutmon tries to convince MetalGreymon not to give up, and Lopmon sees all of his fellow Digimon within the creature. The Lopmon all give their lives to help OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon, allowing them to unite and Digi-Xros into Shoutmon DX. With all of the Lopmon dead, NeoVamdemon can no longer regenerate, so Shoutmon DX kills him. Twice. A little bit of NeoVamdemon tries to sneak away in the end... but Beelzebumon does everyone a favor and kills him a third time.

In Honey Land, they discover Digimon being sucked dry of their energy by the Death General Zamielmon, whose small size makes him near impossible to hit. They also meet Mervamon, a fierce warrior whose brother has been taken under Zamielmon's command by force. Nene is able to help Mervamon free her brother, and then Xros Heart is “invited” to Zamielmon's amusement park, where he tries to put them through several games of survival that largely consists of him just shooting at them a lot. Meanwhile, Blue Flare (and Beelzebumon) was busy destroying Zamielmon's energy supply depot, and without that Zamielmon can't maintain his small size. He grows giant, and Shoutmon DX once again unites and with Mervamon's help is able to drill a hole straight through him and destroy the third Death General.

Things did not end there in Honey Land, however. They learn of a boy Kiriha encountered, who turns out to be Nene's younger brother who she came to the Digital World searching for. While Nene becomes captured due to her brother, Yuu's actions, as he is a member of the Bagra Army forces commanding Damemon/Tsuwamon, and acting now as DarkKnightmon's Digimon General, Lillithmon also joins in on the battle. Eventually, Nene is able to be secured and OmegaShoutmon & ZekeGreymon are able to push back the threats pressing against them.

In Cyber Land, the team encounters a strange, seemingly human girl named Ruka who makes Dorulumon's life a living hell. Dorulumon is led into a trap by the Death General Splashmon, who reveals Ruka was just a puppet, and that he had been using all the Digimon in the country as similar puppets. He captures Dorulumon, and shape shifts into his form to try and get at Xros Heart by making them doubt each other, in that form, and others of the various members of the team. In the end, Taiki proves to have outsmarted Splashmon, having known what he was up to the entire time. Shoutmon DX obliterates the fourth Death General, and they move along into Gold Land.

There, they run into the pirate captain Olegmon, who is the next Death General. Olegmon can control an enchanting series of phrases that will sway anyone to his control, and he captures a number of Xros Heart members (Shoutmon included), and Greymon. Ballistamon is eventually able to break through the control over Shoutmon, but in turn Ballistamon gets captured by Olegmon, and in turn it is revealed Ballistamon is in actuality his creation. Originally he was DarkVolumon, but his power was so great it distorted time and space and flung him to the far reaches of the Digital World. He landed near the Village of Smiles and nearly went on a rampage before he was found and then fixed by Shoutmon. This accidentally erased DarkVolumon's memory, and he was dubbed “Ballistamon” by Shoutmon, who took him on as his partner. Shoutmon is unable to fight his best friend, and with DarkVolumon's help, the rest of Xros Heart is captured, leaving only Shoutmon with the remains of Blue Flare. Together, Shoutmon and Blue Flare launch an attack to save the others, with Shoutmon now getting through to Ballistamon and saving him. In the fight against Olegmon, tapping into his own power and that of Olegmon's own voice, Ballistamon destroys the Death General on his own. Olegmon however dies laughing, noting how great a thing the power of friendship is.

Reaching Canyon Land, where Death General Gravimon lurks, Kiriha launches a plan which divides Xros Heart to attack Gravimon's forces. In reality it was using Xros Heart as a distraction so that he could strike out against Gravimon on his own. In the resulting fight, Kiriha is taken by Gravimon. When Xros Heart next sees him, Kiriha commands Blue Flare to attack them, having been manipulated by Gravimon. Taiki and Kiriha's Digimon duke it out until Deckerdramon intervenes, an act which eventually leads to his last stand. As Deckerdramon dies, Kiriha realizes that these people are his true friends, and with that realization Taiki, Kiriha, and Nene are able to unite their Digimon into Shoutmon X7. X7 seemingly beats back Gravimon, but the Death General narrowly escapes his defeat and regenerates. However, it ends up revealed that Gravimon has implanted his “heart” into Taiki's left arm, making it impossible to kill Gravimon without killing Taiki. In the fight though, Taiki throws himself into harm's way, knowing that Gravimon wouldn't destroy himself. This makes Gravimon remove his heart from Taiki ... and gives the others the chance to destroy it.

Onward they go into Bright Land, realm of Death General Apollomon. Apollomon claims to be a Digimon of justice, who took on the role of a Death General to try and keep some semblance of peace in his land. He also warns them of Bagramon's upcoming “D5”, the ultimate day of destruction. Taiki wants to believe this, but the others are skeptical. It turns out that Apollomon's taking evil actions, though, by an evil virus within him called “Whispered.” Yuu and Tsuwamon appear, and Xros Heart & Blue Flare are flung into the “Hell Field.”

There, Taiki and Yuu's lives are linked together, with the only means of escape being if one dies. Their armies are pitted against each other, with a strategy being devised – while Kiriha & Cyberdramon, Shoutmon X5 (created by Nene, this time), Mervamon, and Beelzebumon lay down distractions, Taiki takes the fight directly to Yuu with MetalGreymon. The mixing up of the army's members throws Yuu off his game, and while Shoutmon is able to fight off DarkKnightmon with Nene's tactics, and Beelzebumon is able to fight back Lillithmon & Blastmon, Yuu kind of flips his lid, grabs a sword and starts trying to stab Taiki. Taiki fends him off until the others finally arrive, and ends up managing to get through to Yuu a bit. Regardless, Tsuwamon Digi-Xroses with the denizens of the Hell Field and fights Shoutmon X7, but is soundly defeated. Yuu & Tsuwamon escape, as does DarkKnightmon elsewhere. Lillithmon & Blastmon are left laying near dead in lava, while Beelzebumon is meanwhile suffering nearly fatal wounds.

Cutemon's healing unable to fully repair his wounds, Beelzebumon nonetheless heads out in search of Yuu with Mervamon. The two end up finding the boy, and the injured Damemon, but are cut off by the reappearance of DarkKnightmon, then in his lower form of SkullKnightmon. Then worse, Apollomon Whispered turns the remains of Lillithmon and Blastmon into a giant beastial creature that threatens to devour the Hell Field. Wisemon meanwhile is trying to remove that which was linked to Taiki's heart without killing him to open their way out of Hell's Field... and while he succeeds in NOT killing him, he's still rendered unconscious. Beelzebumon sacrifices his life so the others can escape, and Taiki only awakes as one of his last feathers drifts by him.

Though everyone is shaken by Beelzebumon's death, they still have the problem of Apollomon Whispered to deal with. Deal with it they do, confronting Whispered at the top of his tower. X7 does battle with him, but nearly falters until Apollomon's true spirit holds Whispered back, giving X7 the chance he needs to defeat him. Apollomon still dies, though, and the team moves onto their final destination – confronting the core of the Bagra Army itself.

There they run into DarkKnightmon, who reveals the Dark Stone, the Code Crowns united but corrupted with the power of darkness. He resurrects the seven Death Generals with it and Digi-Xroses them into GrandGeneramon, but they are but lifeless dolls. The souls of Shoutmon, Ballistamon, and Dorulumon are stolen by DarkKnightmon, and to re-obtain them, Taiki lets his be taken as well. He ends up in Prison Land, a barren wasteland containing the spirits of the Seven Death Generals, as well as the souls that DarkKnightmon swiped form the Xros Heart members. Taiki also finds allies in the spirits of Apollomon and Olegmon, and Apollomon sacrifices himself (again) to send Taiki, his team, and Olegmon back to their bodies. There, Olegmon helps them in defeating GrandGeneramon, but dies (again) to help Shoutmon X7 destroy GrandGeneramon.

They move on to confront the Bagra leaders, and are confronted yet again by DarkKnightmon. While Taiki and Mervamon are thrown down a pit, and make their way to where Yuu – who has lost Damemon, the Digimon having died from the wounds suffered against X7 – is now being captured. The rest of Xros Heart & Blue Flare fight DarkKnightmon until Bagramon arrives... and DarkKnightmon stabs his brother in the back, absorbing him into his body. Taiki & the others save Yuu, and rejoin the fight in time for Bagramon to take control of the combined body from his little brother, becoming DarknessBagramon. In the resulting fight, Shoutmon is killed and Taiki is cast into darkness. He's pulled out of it by Akari and Zenjirou, who have been pulled into the digital realm by the Digi Memories of the legendary Digimon WarGreymon and Examon.

The team returns to Earth to find DarknessBagramon has turned all of its citizens to stone and is beginning his invasion. While Yuu takes command of Taiki's army, Taiki (with Akari and Cutemon hitching a ride along with them) enter DarknessBagramon to try and reclaim the Code Crown. There, Taiki nearly loses his life to Bagramon, but is saved by the revival of Shoutmon and Beelzebumon, the Code Crown having chosen Taiki over Bagramon. Many of their fallen allies – including Deckerdramon, Apollomon, and Olegmon – arrive to help and all of the Generals initiate a Final Xros which fuses Shoutmon with every Digimon present, the Digimon of all the Digi-Memories... and hundreds of Digimon that come pouring out of the sky.

Basically. Shoutmon Digi-Xroses with everything.

He becomes Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode, and decimates DarknessBagramon. And yet, even as Bagramon dies, lamenting that his idealism had lost, Shoutmon tells him to meet him again in HIS country, one day.

So, Shoutmon and the Digimon return to the Digital World, the day won. With the power of the Code Crown, the world is once again rebuilt and reformed. For Digimon, many years pass – Shoutmon victory and conviction brings him to be crowned the Digimon King, where he forges out a world of relative peace. Many years pass in the Digital World, though only one passes in the Human World. Shoutmon comes to know many other Digimon, including a wild child named Gumdramon...

-Part 3: Digimon Xros Wars – The Boy Hunters Who Leap Through Time-

A year has passed in the Human World, and life has gone on for Taiki. However, a mysterious occurrence known as “Digi-Quartz” begins to appear in the Human World, which creates a sort of sub dimension between worlds where Digimon begin to interfere with human affairs. A mysterious old man with a Clockmon begins handing out Xros Loaders like they're candy to children to become “Digimon Hunters,” including a young man that Taiki and Yuu had befriended named Akashi Tagiru. Tagiru becomes partnered with Gumdramon, while Taiki's team returns to him. Eventually, Damemon returns to Yuu as well, and together the three of them go through a series of isolated incidents pushing back the threats of Digimon striking out at the Human World.

They encounter several more Hunters, most importantly Ryouma and his Psychemon/Astamon. Akari and Zenjirou end up finding out about all this after some time, and Taiki discovers that the Digimon have returned to Nene and Kiriha after a little while longer, too.

Eventually it's revealed that all this is because of a creature that transcends space and time called “Quartzmon.” Quartzmon when first encountered is a fearsome creature that even several collected Hunters can't defeat. They're first saved by the appearance of a man named Daimon Masaru, with a ShineGreymon, and a boy named Yagami Taichi, with a WarGreymon.

Soon after, the Hunters battle a constantly evolving creature that ends up as a massive Diablomon, while people the world over that haven't been exposed to Digimon become trapped in Digi-Quartz. Kiriha and Nene arrive in the nick of time, and Shoutmon X7 destroys Diablomon. The old man with the Clockmon reveals that the Hunters were created to hunt Quartzmon, specifically, and that they must use a device called the Brave Snatcher – in actuality, Bagramon's old arm now buried underneath the river where he was defeated – to unite the power of “six legendary leaders” from multiple different realities to have the power to destroy him.

These people are Masaru and Taichi, who saved them before, as well as Motomiya Daisuke, Kanbara Takuya, and Matsuda Takato. They arrive when Xros Heart is assaulted by an army of Vamdemon, and help them to destroy that horde. They then unite their power to call forth the Brave Snatcher, with Ryouma as the chosen Hunter to do so... but he then turns around and stabs Shoutmon and Taiki. Astamon tosses Ryouma aside and reveals that Quartzmon was within him all along, and injured, Taiki entrusts the duty of taking hold of the Brave Snatcher to Tagiru. Uniting the powers of the five legendary leaders, Tagiru is able to destroy Quartzmon. This results in the Digimon and Human Worlds being separated again, as well as the Digimon from their partners.

However, this is temporary, as one day Gumdramon returns, and Taiki & Yuu are confronted by the old man and Clockmon...

And they learn that, in fact, the old man was Bagramon all along.

That then, is about all she wrote.

Character personality: Kudou Taiki is probably one of the most selfless people you'll ever meet. He lives by the code of “not turning his back” on people, and if there is a way to help those that are in need, he will make it happen. This is more often that not at his own detriment – while Taiki always considers the needs of others, he rarely considers his own. He will constantly fling himself into the utmost danger to help people, frequently either putting himself in near death situations or pushing himself until the point of utter exhaustion. That exhaustion, and the influence of his friends, are one of the few things able to deter him from accomplishing his often present goal of helping.

It doesn't deter him MUCH, though, as once he's conscious again he's usually right back into it.

Resultingly, he doesn't tend to put a lot of thought into what putting himself in such danger does to his friends. Not out of cruelty or spite, but in spite of Akari's worrying and berating him for doing stupid things, it never manages to sink in that he should maybe cool it sometimes. So he's a bit dense in that regard – he wears goggles, this is to be expected. He is also terribly stubborn, and if a goal is put before him he'll generally find whatever way possible to attain it, even if that goal seems impossible.

Despite being dense on certain aspects of social interaction in that his friends don't like seeing him constantly trying to get himself killed, Taiki is however extremely intelligent and very rational minded. This is despite the impression that his stubborn streak might lead you to believe, but among the BIGGER hot heads like Shoutmon and Kiriha, Taiki's calm and even assessment of situations has been the key to victory in multiple occasions. He is cool under pressure most times, which generally allows him to make educated decisions in the heat of battle.

Taiki is a very friendly sort of person, however, and fairly personable. He believes in the good of people's hearts, and looks for that in everyone he meets. Even with those that HAVE no good in their hearts he'll try to learn why they're like that. It may seem naïve, and it sort of is, but bear in mind that three thirds of the Digimon he's coming into the game with were once affiliated with the Bagra Empire, so that does say something.

Digimon partner personality:

Shoutmon - Shoutmon was once brash, hot blooded, loud... actually, he is still all of those things. But his long series of battles, and time spent as the Digimon King, has long since ground out much of his old immaturity. These days, he has a much more serious demeanor. He has grown into just as much a leader as Taiki - probably more so, as his leadership has steered the course of an entire world now. He maintains a strong and focused, unfaltering sense of justice. Anyone who dares mess with his friends, or make the innocent shed tears will be quick to meet his swift, righteous wrath. If Shoutmon believes in you, he will go to the ends of the world to support you – but if you cross him, he is the type of foe who will never let up, no matter how much the odds are stacked against him.

Ballistamon - Ballistamon is often times quiet, and when he speaks it is frequently in a monotone, almost unnatural sort of way. For a long time, all he knew was Shoutmon and his friends in the Village of Smiles, completely unaware of his past as Olegmon's ultimate weapon created for the Bagra Army. While Ballistamon may give the impression of being an unfeeling, lifeless machine, it could not be further from the truth. In spite of being an artificial creation and a machine, not a Digimon born in any sort of “real” way, Ballistamon cares deeply for his friends, Shoutmon especially, and has an unwavering dedication to them and their cause. It was the power of that friendship that, when realizing what he once was, was able to pull him out of an extremely dark place emotionally, where he thought he was indeed just some manufactured “bad Digimon.” His dedication and resolve since then has increased even further, and still always remains at his best friend Shoutmon's side.

Dorulumon - A former soldier of the Bagra Empire's army, Dorulumon knew war and battle before a lot of the members of Xros Heart. Though he has attempted in the past to remain aloof and disinterested in things, since joining Xros Heart he has steadily changed. He is one of the more level headed members of Taiki's army, intelligent in knowledge of their former enemies and military tactics. This has served him well to become one of King Shoutmon's chief advisers when it comes to such tactics. Dorulumon is forever serious, and it takes something tremendous to shake that from him, be it surprise or severe amusement. Bringing him to anger is probably easier than most other emotions. For the most part, he tries to keep a straight face, and largely remains the straight man of the group. He can be moved by the plights of those that are helpless, especially those that are younger and have an even harder time defending themselves – something evidenced in his dedication to protecting Cutemon in the past.

Starmons - The Starmons are made up of a central Starmon who is constantly flanked by a set of smaller “Pickmons.” In Digimon terms, they count as one entity until the day a Pickmon grows up and evolves into their own Starmon. Starmon is a highly excitable sort who was once something of just a hanger on and follower of Shoutmon, bearing supreme adoration and respect towards his “BROTHER.” Nowadays... well, very little has changed for Starmon, and he seems content with that, still constantly following Shoutmon unwaveringly. Starmon himself is often extremely loud, and has little understanding of this thing called an “inside voice.” He's also not terribly intelligent, but is okay with just being an underling for all intents and purposes. The Pickmons are generally of little consequence, and Starmon pretty much does all the talking for them. They all wear sunglasses because they think it makes them look hip, but don't realize it just makes them look kind of silly.

Beelzebumon - Formerly the assassin Baalmon, Beelzebumon has been through a lot in his life. From the deaths of all those he grew up with and his mentor, Angemon, through all the battles with Xros Heart, and even his own death, Beelzebumon has endured and fought through a lot of crap. Taiki was the first person since Angemon to have ever shown him compassion in spite of what he'd become, and it was that, along with Shoutmon and Xros Heart's unyielding attempt to protect him when he was near dead that has instilled a lot of faith in Beelzebumon towards all of them, Taiki especially. He has promised Taiki that he will always be there when he needs him, and so far has kept pretty well to that promise, even through death and rebirth. Faith had been something he'd lost, and since regaining it, it's something he's stuck with to great effect. He pulls off the aloof loner act a lot better than Dorulumon, and has a habit of drifting back and forth with the team, in and out of the shadows. He does this always supporting them, but not always in direct ways. For the most part he does prefer to do things on his own if it's possible, but is not above quickly falling back to his friends for help if need be. Unless, you know, the situation pretty much requires he give his life to save everyone and... he's pretty good for that, too.

Character abilities: Taiki's greatest weapon is his mind. He is quite a deal smarter than the average Goggle Boy, though early on it was something of an almost unrealized brilliance. He would certainly have flashes of brilliance in battle situations, but would also at times miss the obvious at the same time. Over time, battling through country after country in the Digital World, that tactical mind grew and became sharper and sharper. Being only a teenager, he still has a lot of room to grow and a lot to learn, and sometimes even now it takes for him to be in the actual situation for a flash of the genius he is capable of being to show itself, but he makes a fine commander for his forces and is only likely to get better as time goes on.

Psychically, Taiki is very fit and in shape. He excels at any number of sports, and frequently school teams will draft him in as a ringer to help them win important games.

He is particularly good at kendo and subsequently combat with a sword, as well. He is no master swordsman, but in general a lot better than most teenagers his age. He's also generally decent in hand-to-hand combat. Again, not amazing, but enough to defend himself from your average skilled attacker.

He is, however, only human, and rarely pays attention to his own physical limitations. This has a habit of him easily over exhausting himself, and he has pushed himself so hard in the past that he's passed out for entire days.

Sample RP: Kudou Taiki sighed as he plopped down on a rock, squinting as he looked around him. He was in a forest. It was not a Human World forest, but as far as he could discern... it wasn't his Digital World, either. Shoutmon leaned up against the same rock, sighing in annoyance.

“FREEDOOOOOOOOM!” Starmon cried, flying across Taiki's view with tiny, squealing Pickmons trailing after him in the air. “IT'S SO NICE TO BE BACK IN THE DIGITAL WORLD! WE WERE GETTING SO CRAMPED IN THE LOADER-!”

Not our Digital World!” Shoutmon snapped irritably, though he didn't look at Starmon, who stopped dead in the air. “And you didn't complain about the Loader before!”

Taiki just shifted his vision a bit to the side, as Starmon pouted a bit and then floated nearby to Shoutmon to try and appeal to him. Three figures came from three different directions – Ballistamon boosting across the ground, Dorulumon running, and Beelzebumon flying. The three members of Xros Heart came to a stop before both their General and King, and Shoutmon pushed off the rock.

“So, what's the deal?” Shoutmon asked. “Where the hell are we?”

“It's about what Taiki figured,” Dorulumon said, inclining his head back the way he came. “This is some place called ... D'ango.” The canine Digimon narrowed his eyes a bit. “Most certainly, it's no place I've ever heard of...”

Beelzebumon gave a snort, and dusted off his armor. It looked like he'd been in a scuffle. “Got ambushed by some pissy Airdramon spoiling for a fight,” he said, before looking a bit bothered briefly. He didn't comment on it, but Taiki could tell what it was.

He'd had trouble in this 'scuffle,' and a couple Airdramon didn't sound like something that would normally stand much a chance against Beelzebumon, of all people. Taiki didn't comment on it, but he filed it away for the near future.

“It looks like there are a lot of other humans here, though!” Ballistamon said, in a mostly flat, but loud tone.

Taiki peered over at Ballistamon, raising an eyebrow. “Hunters? Generals?”

“No,” Ballistamon said. “They call themselves 'Tamers.'”

Taiki and Shoutmon exchanged looks, Shoutmon crooking his head to one side curiously.

“Tamers?” Shoutmon asked, and tilted his head up as he thought. “Ain't that what that Takato kid called himself? A 'Tamer?'”

Taiki pursed his lips. That it was. He looked down, at the devices in his hand. One resembled a smart phone, and the other... well, he no longer had his Xros Loader, but this device bore the same color as it did. Turning over the phone, its casing held the same color, as well as Xros Heart's symbol.

Someone had called them here, for whatever reason. That much was for certain.

Sighing, Taiki stood up and pocketed both devices. “Well then. How about we introduce ourselves?”

BROTHER! BROTHER, IT'S WORKING! ... I THINK!

Photobucket
Quiet down and give me that!

[sound of a scuffle, camera moving all over the place, before it bounces and comes to focus on someone else]

Photobucket
Greetings everyone, my name's Kudou Taiki. I'm a ... well, I guess, what would be accurate now ... I'm what a lot of you call a Tamer, from another place that has its own Digital World. My team, Xros Heart, and I are trying to figure out just what's going on here...

I know there are other Digital Worlds out there, and other worlds, so ... I'm guessing that's where we've ended up?

[yoink!]

Photobucket
So yeah – Whoever's world this is? We appreciate the hand, but A LITTLE WARNING NEXT TIME?! Seriously!

I'm guessing this must be Takato's, since everyone around here seems to be called Tamers, so... kid. Seriously. If you could yell at whoever's in charge around here, we'd appreciate it.

In the meantime, the name's Shoutmon! This might not be my world, but if there's a reason we've been called here, it's my duty as Digimon King to beat the ass of whatever's causing trouble here! Just point us in the right direction, and we'll take care of it!

[another yoink]

Photobucket
Besides, since we got pulled here without warning, no one knows we're here. If we're not back soon, Akari might get mad.

Lilymon too.

[Shoutmon ... well, shouts, as the camera is pointed to someone else – Beelzebumon, cloaked in his wings]

Photobucket
Regardless. As Taiki said, assistance would be appreciated. As well as some information on the ... intricacies of how the Digimon in this world work in their power. Something seems... oddly different from our own...

[camera spins yet again to Dorulumon, sitting down and looking like he was trying to nap]

Photobucket
...yeah, what he said. Plus, we don't know what's going on in our own world, as there were still potential ... issues there...

So if someone from one of the other worlds is out there, it'd be real convenient if we could get the details on what's going on here.
